Dr. Hooks is a board-certified dentist anesthesiologist with expertise in administering all forms of sedation, from light sedation to general anesthesia. He provides hospital-quality sedation services in general and specialty dental offices throughout Houston, Texas and surrounding areas.

He earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at the University of Southern California. He practiced as a general dentist in Los Angeles prior to entering a residency in Dental Anesthesiology at New York University Langone Brooklyn. At NYU, he received extensive training in anesthesiology including both hospital and in-office anesthesia services. Dr. Hooks has provided anesthesia for a wide variety of cases including orthopedic, vascular, trauma, urological, dental, oral surgery, ENT, pediatric, adult and geriatric general surgery. Additionally, his training there included extensive training treating children and medically complex patients with special needs. 

Dr. Hooks is committed to excellence and exceptional patient care. He has advanced training in all aspects of anesthesia and emergency care. He works diligently to stay abreast of the continued advances in dentistry and anesthesiology. He is certified in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Dr. Hooks is involved in lecturing and provides continuing education in moderate sedation and emergency medicine to general dentists.

Dr. Hooks lives with his wife and 5 children in the Woodlands, Texas.
